As you progress through the game, obstacles like large mushrooms, tree stumps, and beach corals will block off key areas and resources. By raising friendship levels with specific villagers and gathering required crafting items, you can enhance your Royal Tools to fully restore the valley.

Upgrading the Royal Pickaxe for Beach Corals and Ice

The Royal Pickaxe requires enhancements to break through obstacles like blue beach corals and giant ice blocks. To clear small and large corals on Dazzle Beach, players must unlock Maui and progress through his friendship quests. Completing Maui's "A Tale of Stone and Fire" quest at friendship level 4 grants the final beach pickaxe upgrade.

Clearing ice shards in Frosted Heights requires assistance from Elsa after inviting her to the village. Her quest line, including "Breaking the Ice" and "The Singing Ice," rewards players with potions that empower the pickaxe. You will need to collect various flowers, ice chunks, and local water samples to finish these upgrades.

Enhancing the Royal Shovel to Clear Stumps and Bones

Tree stumps scattered throughout the biomes block paths and hide valuable hardwood. Unlocking Anna from the Frozen Realm lets players begin her questline to upgrade the shovel blade. Her quest "An Icy Invitation" requires gathering softwood, hardwood, iron ingots, and tinkering parts to build the upgrade.

To remove Wildebeest bones blocking Sunlit Plateau, players must rely on Scar's storyline. Advancing Scar's quests to "Breaking Bones" unlocks the Lion's Claw Shovel Head. Crafting this improvement requires collecting Lion's Claws, dry wood, and iron ingots.

Improving the Royal Watering Can for Mushroom Removal

Purple mushrooms often block bridges and pathways in the Peaceful Meadow and Glade of Trust. Merlin assists players in enhancing the Royal Watering Can through his dedicated friendship line. Reaching friendship level 8 with Merlin unlocks "A Dark Experiment," requiring mushrooms, emeralds, and purified night shards to clear small mushrooms.

For the large mushroom clusters, players must reach friendship level 10 with Merlin and complete "The Final Trial". This quest demands falling water from the Glade of Trust, an ice heart, and additional mushrooms. Once completed, your watering can will easily clear any mushroom patch in the village.
